Do I actually have to do MTD? ⌄
Only if your combined gross rental + self-employment income is over £50,000 (from April 2026), £30,000 (2027) or £20,000 (2028). Under that, nothing changes yet — use our free checker to see your exact date.
What if I'm close to the threshold? ⌄
It's based on gross income, which can wobble year to year with voids and expenses. We watch it for you and tell you the moment you're likely to cross — no nasty surprises.
Do I need a separate bank account? ⌄
No. We connect read-only to whichever account your rent lands in and pick out the relevant transactions. A separate account is tidy but not required.
Do I have to scan every receipt? ⌄
